Corbett School Multi-Purpose Building
35800 E Historic Columbia River Highway
Corbett, Oregon

Cost: suggested donation $10 in advance, $15 at the door
Typical chess tournament registration is $20 or more.  Donate what you can.  If you can afford more, please consider a larger donation. All proceeds will go to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, so please donate lots!

The tournament is for students in grades K-12. Depending on turnout, players may be divided into separate playing sections based on skill-level.

The tournament will be NWSRS rated and an OSCF State Qualifier, and there will be prizes for the top players.

Pizza and other concessions will be available for sale at the tournament.

Clock Policy:

If a clock is not used at the start of a game, a tournament director will place a clock on a game that threatens to exceed the time limit. Typically, after a clock is placed on a game, each player will have 10 minutes to complete his or her remaining moves. If both players are rated above 1000 and one player wants to use a clock and has one available, the clock must be used. If one player is rated below 1000, a clock may be used for the entire game if both players wish to use a clock. In all sections, TD may place a clock at any point in the game to ensure fair and equitable allocation of time between the players.

What to Bring to the Tournament:

  • A responsible adult! Adults, you are responsible for your children while they are at the tournament.
  • Something to do between games.
  • If your game finishes early, you may have a long wait before the next game.
